Friday, September 17, 12:00 p.m.

Anniversary celebration: Special historical festivities mark the 200th Oktoberfest this year, complete with a horse race.

Saturday, September 18, 11:00 a.m.

Entrance of the hosts: A horse-drawn procession of the festival tent hosts runs from Sonnenstrasse to the Oktoberfest grounds.

Saturday, September 18, 12:00 p.m.

Opening ceremony: Munich's mayor, Christian Ude, officially opens the festival in the Schottenhamel tent.

Sunday, September 19, 12:00 p.m.

Costume and Riflemen's Parade: The parade leads from Maximilianstrasse, then to Odeonsplatz, Karlsplatz-Stachus, Schwanthalerstrasse, Kaiser-Ludwig-Platz and finally to the Oktoberfest lawn.

Tuesday, September 21, 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

First Family Day: Reduced fares and prices are available.

Thursday, September 23, 10:00 a.m.

Church service: An Oktoberfest service is held in the Hippodrom tent.

Sunday, September 26, 11:00 a.m.

Concert: The bands from each festival tent gather for a concert at the feet of the Bavaria statue.

Tuesday, September 28, 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Second Family Day: Reduced fares and prices are available.

Sunday, October 3, 12:00 p.m.

Cannon salute: Small, hand-held cannons present a magnificent salute at the steps of the Bavaria statue.

Monday, October 4, 11:30 p.m.

Festival end: Auf Wiedersehen! - Goodbye and 'til next year!
