Gantz: 'We have no choice but to defend ourselves'

Israel has faced a barrage of international criticism for its campaign against the Hezbollah militant group in Lebanon. Former Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz addressed that criticism in conversation with DW correspondent Tania Krämer.

"On October 6th it was a peaceful quiet area. On October 6th, 20,000 Palestinian workers were working in Israel, children of Gaza were treated in Israeli hospitals. They started this horrific offensive on October 7th, Hezbollah joined them, we have no choice but to defend ourselves", former Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz told DW correspondent Tania Krämer.
