Doctors try to prop up Gaza's collapsing health sector

Before Israel responded to Hamas's October 7 attack, there were 36 hospitals available for the more than 2 million people in the Gaza Strip. At the end of April 2024, 25 of these hospitals were ‘out of service’ and three functioning only partially.
